This is the second time in the last few days that I have seen a split in the same position.
My advice would be the same again and that is to reject it or at least, speak to Adam.

Filling with Timbermate or similar will do nothing for the integrity of the joint. Clamping ( with any force ) is not a good idea. It will put the end result under constant strain and will split again in all probability. Re-gluing with wood glue is not a good idea as any new glue will not penetrate the wood fibres (already penetrated and cured) which leaves epoxy or cyano in my opinion.

If you do decide to try and fill or glue then I suggest waiting a couple of weeks after the repair before proceeding to any finish on that beautiful quilted top. I would think that if the repair was going to fail then it would be within that period.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

Cheers
Ricky
