When I was building my canoe. the whole thing, unsheathed hull, strong back, the lot, was knocked over by the wind, The hull was full of splits and other chaos (I thought it was kindling). I did some experiments with epoxy, titebond and cyano. The epoxy was thin enough to penetrate, and easy to scrape the joints later with a cabinet scraper. Titebond wasn't so great, and much more of a pain to clean up once it's dried. The cyano penetrated fine, but the fumes arn't great.
