nice one Barge you got the cavity and recess templates made. Is that plywood with some laminate cover on it ?
The tele coverplate on the back should look cool.
Hopefully the final weight will be ok. I don't mind a slightly heavier axe always feels good

It's a marine ply apparently, my buddy uses it to make PA speaker boxes and gave me a heap of offcuts, so yeah it's some form of weather proof coating.Originally Posted by wokkaboy

The weights actually fine now that I've carved a heap off the top, not sure of the exact weight but it wouldn't be any heavier than one of the mahogany LP bodies.
Cavity's cleaned out ready for routing, no turning back now.
