Nice work. Especially for your first scratch body. I like the look you got too.
One thing I'll mention is if the headstock got the same wax treatment as the body, you may have trouble putting lacquer over it.
If that's the case, you should be able to get some coats of dewaxed shellac on it first and no problem laying lacquer over that.
I've never used timber waxes, so very unfamiliar with what products you've may have used.
