What to do with the nut is interesting me. I am thinking that the edge closest the first fret will need to be the front square edge of the new nut....and I will have a 10 to 15 mm Rosewood fretboard bank area behind the nut before the truss rod hole.
I am thinking of trying to find some specs of the Truss rod cover used by "I" and if I can buy one that will cover this exposed fretboard section.
I don't know whether to cut a "G" style end of the fetboard nut or just trim the slab and stand it up hard against the end of the fretboard in an "F" style.

That after doing an "F"Style nut that I make a style piece for behind. The fretboard has Mother of Pearl inlays and tortoiseshell binding....maybe a section of material like that across the gap.
