Hi there,
Been busy at home, busy at work, but here's a little update:
Glued the neck and managed to get a nice joint that is aesthetically pleasant and ergonomically good.

Seems a lot of wood gone but in reality, not so much.
Will do a little more sanding and then, go to paint job.
