How do some folk remember to breathe?

I'm lucky I have one hill between my house and a load of bike ways along the water front. I can ride to there from my house on the footpath where it's only giant monster truck prams I have to dodge.

Swanny - definately doable - was a couch potato this time last year - that said - my mate from work has pushed me all the way, so that helped...
The Trek is nice - built for distance, so gentle on the soft parts of the anatomy... The 11 speed groupset is also handy with the hills.

DB I remember riding in Canberra - so many bike paths and they seemed to actually go somewhere. If only in Perth - half ours end suddenly or are missing bits, no wonder cyclists and drivers are getting agro with each other.

Yhep.. It is really stupid of the state Government not to push a decent bike path system..
Perth could be a great city to cycle in if there were more dedicated bike ways that, like Canberra, actually go where they are needed.

My eldest son ( he's just about to turn 47 ) does a ride to work when the weather is not too hot / wet from Clarkson to the City.

Them in WA will appreciate that it's a fair ride even if it is pretty flat

My 2 bikes. I don't ride the push bike in summer, with my lungs it's too hard to breathe in the humidity. On a positive note, 2 years this month since I gave up the lung busters (cigs)

LOL yea. I had a 30's Enfield that ran about the same size tyres as the FatBike.

I only ride 1 kind of bike... up here in New England, we typically get 3 seasons of riding.. though this time last year, we had 8 ft (2.5 m) of snow hanging around. This year, Ive ridden every month so far. This pic was taken on Christmas day.. it was about 50 degrees (10 celsius)...

@ Swanny, my road bike is getting a bit old, about a 2010 Giant TCR Alliance with ultegra 10 speed, think it's similar crank/groupset teeth numbers to yours. I'm due to get a new chain/cluster/chain ring the chain is starting to slip at times in taller cluster gears.
What sort of road bike you got ?
I got about 5 bikes for different purposes. Also fit a zbox petrol kit to one just over a year ago but always ride a pedal powered bike to burn off the food and beer calories haha

Dude, I am still on my 06 OCR Zero! Third set of cranks, second set of wheels, two bottom brackets, 3 rear cassettes (and a partridge in a pear tree), Giant rock, this thing has been a brilliant bike and it is still going strong. I'd buy another Giant in a heartbeat, though my next bike is likely to be a Bullit or similar for the conveying, fetchin' and entertaining of the young 'un.
