    Swanny's GR-1SF

    Long time since my last post, I've been busy changing a whole lot of things in the mean time.

    When I finished my first build, I planned that the next one would be the GR-1SF. I love the hollow body guitars! I sold my 335 copy in preparation for buying another kit, but then I sold my house, bought an acreage property, and didn't get around to it.

    This week I went and saw Tommy Emmanuel in concert, and thought bugger it! I put my order in to Adam last night, and now the kit is on it's way to sunny Qld.

    I haven't decided on a colour, it'll be silver hardware, so a solid black is possible, or tobacco with a burst, or a deep red...

    So next week, I'll start on Swanny's GR-1SF, with a twist!

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Thanks Wokka, been busy not watching the tracking progress of the guitar kit, and the twist. Instead I've been installing electronic dog fences over 350 metres, watching Bathurst, doing laps of Lakeside in the Sierra this morning... busy weekend!

    And so it begins! Thanks to Adam and the team for a well packed box that travelled across the country!










    No nasty surprises are apparent. I'm thinking of going a deep red colour, with the grain showing through, though nothing is locked in yet!

    sweet looking kit Swanny, some really nice figure on the top and bottom ! Neck pocket fit looks good too

    Edit just saw your comment on the 8th. What a thrilling Bathurst race hey, so many cars that could have won crashed or had failures.

    What's the track surface like at Lakeside ? Was one of the ATCC regular tracks in the 70's and 80's.
