Hey Swanny, your Avanti will last you a few more years, really how much quicker will a new frame make you go ?
Will look way cooler but no difference in speed.

Wish I had a pic of DB's pink electric bike, you would have a great laugh at that Swanny hahah

good idea might look at Chain reaction for some new running gear

Its not pink, Woks. It is a faded Freo Dockers purple...

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Closures are only on Sunday - for a UCI Race (I think Sunday) is a try out for an international comp to be held in Australia later this year. Offsider from work is trying out for it. I'll be out in the hills this Sat training for the Three Dams event on 3 April - 150Km from Curtin Uni to Mundaring Weir, Canning Dam, Wungong then home. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1005814967

Just had to upgrade my ride - blew a shifter on my old bike (old alloy local build) and was going to get charged $400 to downgrade to a Sora groupset. Was enough to get me permission from the Minister for Finance to get a second hand carbon bike (photo below).

DB - would offer to drop into your place on the ride and say hello, but we're planning on being a little further north - that said - next time our ride ends up Armadale way, I'll be sure to drop by in my lycra .

BTW - just noticed that a DB has registered and is looking for a partner for the Three Dams ride (https://www.bwa.org.au/file/file/Dam...16%2820%29.pdf) - that wouldn't be you coming out of the lycra closet DB?

Wow, Brendan! Shows how amateur my riding is. The Trek would be a nice upgrade though!

My 2 bikes. I don't ride the push bike in summer, with my lungs it's too hard to breathe in the humidity. On a positive note, 2 years this month since I gave up the lung busters (cigs)

When I lived in Canberra I used to ride at least 50k every day..
Was great there, really good bike tracks so you never really had to worry about idiots in cars..
Rode for a while here in Perth, but car drivers here are psychos... After nearly being taken out by a few numptys that refused to observe the basic road rules I had to start carrying a pocket of ball bearings for self protection... Amazing what a fist full of ball bearings can do when you sling them behind you when you have a car up your butt... I fully reccomend it, especially for motor bike riders... Insert evil laugh here
Anyhoo, riding in Perth was making me angry and also the old treadly was zonked after close on 90,000 k's.
Add to that living on top of a very steep hill I decided to give away the riding..
