I've never thought about doing this, but I always assumed you would take the metal pickup cover off first so the wax could get around the coils better.

I assumed the same! But the metal was spot welded on the back and as I don't have a welder I didn't risk separating them! That's why I sat them in for around 10 mins so the wax could penetrate as much as possible
Hey all, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting around to the wiring until we move which will be end of March at this point. If I get sometime between now and then I will try my darnedest to get it done!! I want t shred on her already

Hey Shaz, it's actually just soldered on, take a very fine Japenese saw to it and it should split right up and then just heat the solder back up to reseal itI assumed the same!
