    Help

Hi crew, Ive got a mismatched body & neck that has me stumped.
Ive got a difference of 2mm that needs shaving off either the neck or pocket which scares me in itself but my biggest concern then is getting a snug fit around the corners of the heel.
Have I got a strat neck here instead of a tele?
Can a strat neck go onto a tele(master) & not cause saddle height problems down the track?
Can I simply cobble it together & hope the pick guard hides any horrors?

Ive got some pics to upload but the page won't seem to let me.
    Very frustrating
    My thanks in advance
    Jay

    Hi and welcome Jay.

The heel corners of the tele necks often need a bit of sanding to get a snug fit. Though 2 mm does not seem right. The PBG tele and strat necks are evry different - tele neck is flat at the end of the heel, while the strat neck is quite curved! I don't think a strat neck would fit the tele. And the pickguard is not designed to hide that much.

As far as posting pictures - they must be less than 1Mb. Try reducing the file size and see if that helps!

Thanks Trevor I appreciate your prompt reply.
Re: photos, I can't see a link or photo icon to even try uploading a photo let alone keeping it under 1mb.
How do I post a pic hereabouts

    For the quick reply:

Press "Go Advanced" at the bottom of the reply box,

    (the window changes a bit)

Then scroll down to and press "Manage Attachments", and a new window will pop up where you can upload files!

    I hope this helps.

Nope, no manage attachments or similar to be seen anywhere.
I'll try it on a desktop instead of Android & see if the issue is my phone

Pics will help to diagnose the problem.

Your pic can have no dimension larger than 1500 pixels. I use a free program called Irfanview to crop and and resize images when I post. Here's the picture button:

It will open a window that looks like this:

It is a PBG tele neck. So that is good! The neck is tapered so it can only be pushed down (perpendicular to the body) into the recess. It does look like the curved ends of the neck heel will need to be sanded to match the curvature of the recess (which is quite common). Hopefully, that is all that is required.
