The last pair of f holes I cut took me most of an afternoon, by hand with a scalpel in a spruce top. The difference in wood density on the growth rings made it really hard... at least at my level of 'skill'.

On the subject of hollow Telecasters here's a long term project of mine. I decided these sides were too deep so I need to start again...

More like an acoustic body compared to how I'm doing it. Did you steam the wood?

I routed the outside body shape for the 2 bodies today using my 12 mm mdf template. I will now need to get a short length router bit to do the neck cavity.
