    Little bit of copper shielding ... found hard to get into a thinline semi-hollow body, but final product seems ok.

    Ready to add hardware and wire in pickups.
    Swapped out pickups for Tone Rider hot classics.
    Swapped out bridge for a Wilkinson ashtray bridge with cover.

    The finish has come up quite well and it is quite difficult to photograph because it is so reflective.

    From a playing perspective, what is you opinion of the “ashtray”? As an inveterate palm muter it would definitely take some getting used to, but there is part of me that loves the idea of making an esquire style TL with an ashtray bridge. I’m just not sure if I’d ever use it.
