I think you'll find they're two different guitars. Top is Camphor Laurel and the bottom is Queensland Maple.

Yes, I'm aware they're two different guitars. If you look at the QLD Maple tele, the metal block from the vibrato bridge is exposed through the back acting as a string-through.

I could be wrong, but I rekon that is a string through ferrule plate, not the trem block.

Schaller use these with their Hannes series bridges. They are good but you need to rout really accurately for them, or be very handy with fine chisels.
