    A JM-1 for Tommy's Son

    So here is my next project already.

    After watching me build my JZ-1, my son decided he actually did want to do guitar lessons at school

    My daughter already does guitar at school, but she has a red Squier Mini (since she is only 7 years old).

    My son chose a JM-1 for himself along with Rustoleum "Seaside" for the colour.



    The kit is out with Auspost for delivery today, so I thought I would kick off the build diary for it now.

    I am excited cause it gives me another go at this building thing before my much more serious non-reverse firebird body arrives and I start on it.
    Completed:

    #1 JZ-1 in Ocean Mist
    #2 A JM-1 for my Son
    #3 JZ-6 Bass VI
    #4 JZ-6 Bass VI mk ii

    The JM is a nice kit. Should come up well, especially as you've now got the first one under your belt.

    Kit arrived. I mocked it up, seems fine.

    I started sanding, got the back done, but it was too hot and muggy out there so I had to stop. We’ll see what the weather brings tomorrow

    First three coats of colour have gone on.



    Sadly, a crack I noticed when sanding has become quite pronounced once the paint went on




    My son is OK with it, but I am a bit bummed. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
