Hi Folks !

Ben, from Canberra. I'm new here :-)

Just orderd my first kit (TLA-1 with some Tonerider vintage pickups) to build with my son (16 yrs old, the real musician in the family, mostly bassist but he dabbles with keys and guitar too).

I have no idea what I'm getting myself into but it seems fun so ... The kid also has access to a woodworking shop & teacher at school, so that should help.

I'll try to do a build diary once we get the bits and actually start building (probably not before October).

Hello Ben & Son from Canberra. Welcome to the guitar building fun! The TLA-1 kit is a nice kit, and with vintage pickups should be very nice! Good luck with the build.

PS I'm surprised Canberra folk have started venturing outside after all the cold weather you have been having!

Thanks ! A bit daunting but hopefully it will be all fun.

It has been bloody freezing here too That's a good excuse to stay indoors and play music !
