    Greetings

    Hello all,

    Name's Rhett

I've been aware of this forum since I first found Pitbull Guitars a couple of years ago. Only just signed up.

I've been playing bass and guitar since high school (in my mid-thirties now). Started toying with modding guitars in my garage when I was about 18. Back then it was more about trying to make different pickups fit by building my own pickguards with old CD-Rs and a knife...

Now I'm more comfortable doing mods and setups by practicing on cheaper guitars that I've accumulated. Lot's of re-wiring on strat guards for the fun of it, so I know my way around guitar circuits. I've done some basic repairs and mods on amps and pedals but not enough to have much confidence. Trial and error is my friend.

My first kit was a Pitbull Guitars 27" 7-string. All mahogany body and neck, with a quilted maple veneer. (2019)

Long story short; I ended up with a second kit around the same time. Same woods, etc. This time, it's multiscale. (Very similar to the current SMS-7Q).

I've had this second kit sitting untouched since I started the first kit.
I pulled it out the other day to start the work.

**Below is my original question, which I have since moved to a build diary:
    https://www.buildyourownguitar.com.a...569#post223569

Only after applying stain to the veneer, did I find a very visible glue line running down the front of the guitar, where the two pieces meet (See attached).
There was no issue with my first kit when applying the stain over this seam. Dingotone is used in both cases.
Are there any tips/tricks to fix this, or minimize it? Or is this just a factory flaw that I'll have to embrace?

    Thanks for your time!
