Started routing the fretboard starting with the Z. once that was ok routed for the remainder of the inlay. Drilled some holes through to let light in, but may not be enough and may have to join some up to create larger openings. A bit concerned of taking too much out and the frretboard breaking out. Have the routing to the point where the pieces fit close to final position.
Going to have to reevaluate what light source I am going to use. Had intended to use one or two diodes off the light strip imbedded in neck but may have to look at better diodes maybe.

Today got a chance to glue in the fretboard inlays and filed down before sanding to the fretboard radius. Still need to final sand after putting some filler in the gaps. Shaped the headstock and routed for a pau disc. (earth).
Finished shaping the Z holes for the inserts and happy enough with the fit.

Crazy cool Tony. How are you going to handle wiring etc? Will the inserts be removable for adjustments?

Thanks Guys. Nick still winging it a bit with the wiring. The inserts will be permanent, so probably going to have to put a control cover in the back which I was trying to avoid. Was going to run two sets of LED's each side with one connected and one for future backup. Will run the wiring from the upper side through the bridge pickup route. The neck, still have to run a channel up to the 12th fret and will add route for the LED's.( which I haven't worked out yet). Have not thought about actual circuit yet.

LED's in the pup routs and fibre optic to the inlays, perhaps?

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
