    ES1 "Ziltoid" attempt

During the last Anniversary sale scored an ES1 with mahogany body and neck and flame veneer front and no F Holes.
As a massive fan of the Customised Framus guitars that Devin Townsend plays ( and that at 8000 euro are a little out of my price range) thought might have a crack at a "homage".

So a few things to work out
    - material and how to light up the Zs
    - how to replicate the grey/white finish on the front.
    - whether to go the hog and remove the fretboard and have a crack at fitting a new one with a lit inlay which is way out of my current skill level.

Will fit a standard tailpiece and still deciding on pickups. Have a set of EMG 87r/91R in a Schecther that I was going to swap out.

Strange question but how do you get the electronics in the body?

Hi fuzz beard will have to cut the z's out before putting in inserts. And will have a battery box in the side below where the rear strap pin is located. Should give enough room to fit everything in.

    Awesome project.

    A thought on the lighting:
You could either have a single point light source , like a single bright led (or small group) so the red light looks like it glows from within
Or a group of LEDs around the inner of each z hole

    Have fun
