What about the double header coming up at Suncorp Stadium soon, wasn't that someone's home game relocated?

You could always take a mid winter break up north to catch a home game and escape the chilly 10-12 degrees we get down to.

I'm not sure about that, I think it only covers Dairy Farmers Stadium. She sends the tickets back up to NQ to random customers.

Have to admit, I never followed football of any code - never saw the point. People have an allegiance to a club, but the club changes players, players retire young, so it's never the same club. It's like Ford vs Holden (of which Ford is superior).

Then my son wanted to play Junior Rugby League, so I had 6 years of taking him to games, training etc. Work started up a tipping comp, and I joined blindly, losing the first year, but the last year they ran it, I won the comp. It hasn't been run the last couple of years for some reason, and I still have a minimal knowledge of the game. It's only interesting if you've got an interest in one of the teams.

Footy season starting also means the motor racing season has started

Well, this thread has certainly changed tack.

Sort of, on driver training days one piece of advice given to newbies is "don't forget to breathe" the sensory overload can be a bit like stepping on stage for the first time

I'll be honest I don't follow any footy either. I grew up in the part of Sydney that has never been the territory of a team. I suppose we were supposed to be North Sydney, but that was sooooo far away. It's there areas where there is a truly local team where there is a truly rabid following. So I've kind of never cared that much. I've never been to any watch any sort of football game live. Cricket on the other hand, I've seen a lot of.
