it holds up a guitar...it works!
ended up using a large furniture glide thingy as a back rest, a little tidying to do on the bottom brackets uphostery (cloth glued to clear tubing over dowels)

Yeah there ok Dedman be nice in all wood luckily you don't see much of them with guitar on lol. The electric guitar ones could do with being meatier though.
