Well, things haven't gone quite to plan.



Pretty quickly noticed some red as I wiped up, and sure enough, I've taken some colour off. I believe I said "I'm not too happy with that outcome!", or something like that a few times and then decided that maybe a matte finish would look better after all.



So, that's what happened. That was my original plan anyway.

Damn Pabs! It was looking so sweet too. Personally I do small amounts of wet sanding between every second or third coat of TO after about the 10-15th coat. The coats are so thin you don't want sand through them and create tide lines. The colour will deepen again with another TO coat, but damn.

Hi Pabs

Sad thing that sanding didn't work out but still looks great. TO isn't laquer but still a nice product. I know DB does not agree but for me it works cause I don't have a place where laquer could just dry and the smell would not bother anyone. 20 coats and still that...

What grit paper did you use? I used 2000 for soap water in the final and 1200 for TO wet sanding.between abot 10 layers. Mine had about 20 before final wet sand also.
