not a bad video but I kept turning up the volume and the bloke doesn't utter a word, would be nice if he explained what he was doing with the different rags and colours

Yeah I can't find the first chapter of the video where he explains what he's doing. Basically I used a similar technique and I used 5 colour pots 1.yellow 2. Half yellow mixed with half cherry 3. Cherry 4. Half cherry half black 5. Black.
And then it's a matter of applying layers of full colour and then you apply your mixed colours over the top of where the full colours meet. Not sure if that makes sense but basically the mixed colour blends the two full colours to create the seamless blend. It's definitely a race against the clock to prevent drying too quickly and stuffing up the blend. I'll try and hunt down where old muscles explains the process in his intro.

I'd hate to try a hand rubbed burst on my build first up... I'd have to do a test run on a sheet of ply. Great result Damo!

Yeah I figured you've done a few woks. I posted the video for newbys like myself who want to give it a crack but I thought you'd get a kick outta seeing muscles go to work - did you realise that's actually a full size axe not a mandolin? His arms are so huge that the guitar looks tiny..

after my comment wasn't sure if you are more guitarist or bassist ?
