This build is looking awesome Ben. Loving the grain with that colour.

QUICK BUILD UPDATE: It seems like my build has slowed right down. Applying clear coat now so not much to share until that is done.

The weather in Sydney is not great for painting so it may be a few days before I continue. Plus I have sort of gone back to work.

I do need to order a decal from somewhere. Can someone give me any tips as to where to order a headstock decal and do they do the design as well?

    Cheers
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
the weather in Sydney is crap for cricket as well ! day 3 and still the first innings !

Send Andyport from the forum an email at citysigns at internode.on.net

    He can cut vinyl logos.

Best you design your own logo although Andy can probably give you some ideas

Love the colour Ben. I'm going to have to try some FW colours myself! As wokka says, can recommend AndyPort for decals most highly.

    cheers,
    Gav.

Alright. Things are about to get exciting again in the build diary. I put the final clear coat on yesterday and now just letting her set before a wet sand, cut and polish. Hoping for a real glossy finish. I will post up some pics soon. It has sure been a learning curve so far...

Hey Andy. Not much. I was wet sanding like a mad man only to find out that I hadn't grain filled enough so I am applying more clear coat and I think I will now get the glassy finish I am after. I underestimated how much effort would be required!
It will be worth it in the end.

Quick update: I think I have finally finished clear coats. I am letting it harden this week then a cut and polish will be in order! I also bought some naughty oil from a gun shop for the neck. I am looking forward to putting it together
