He can get the external power source for them, saves an additional rout. I bought a battery box to house the battery in my EXA-1 kit, but the EXA has some nice square edges to rout in to, not sure it would be feasible with the mockingbird style body.

The route has been done, in a spot next to the control cavity, and away from bridge posts. Once the batter box arrives it should slot in neatly, overlapping the route edges.

Cool, there are some really good options on the battery boxes out there. Can't wait to see the finished item!

Really digging the headstock shape you've gone with here. Will suit the style beautifully. Very keen to see this paintwork come alive.

We took advantage of the warm weather today, and got bursting. First up, cutting a cardboard outline of the body, and trimming it so it's a couple of centimetres smaller. Then the cardboard was suspended above the body, and paint sprayed from above.

Same thing was done to the neck, and now they're drying, before we can rub back the overspray. The young bloke's got a huge grin on his face!

37 degrees forecast for tomorrow with 95% humidity at 4.00am reducing to 81% at 7.00am then gradually getting down to 33% around 1.00pm if you can believe BOM iPhone app. Still predicting 50% chance of rain too? Gonna be a stinking hot day either way.
