    plans sound great Tony. Just be careful with the veneer you don't sand through. You should get an idea looking from the side of the pup holes the width of the cap but it's often thinner near the edges/binding

    Yeh mate already got the gauges out and doing some tapping, there wont be alot of veneer there thats for sure. I am also tomorrow going to be going over it with a magnifying glass looking for glue, i have found 2 nasty pieces at the neck join on the neck itself, some goop will fix it.

    Plenty of sanding, but only light on the veneer until i get a few coats of finish on it.
