Murphy's 1st law of soldering irons
If you drop a soldering iron you will always catch the wrong end.

Many years ago I stood on a hot soldering iron wearing black nylon socks, the result was a groove in the sole of my foot sealed by a melted and dried black dressing

Ouch, I bet that must have hurt something chronic, one time I stupidly stuck the tip of my right index finger into some hot melted cheese and ended up with a decent-sized blister on the end of my finger, needless to say I never did it again.

Oh, one time when I was a little 5 or 6 year old kid, I was running around with a balloon and ran straight into the side of a hot barbecue because I was watching the balloon, rather than where I was going, I ended up with a big burn right down the side of my left forearm, and my mum got told off by my dad cause she was supposed to be looking after us, had to have bitumen dressings put on my burnt arm for a month and my arm bandaged up.
