    The Bad Advice thread

I'm sure we've all seen some particularly dodgy info slung around on the interwebs, some funny, some stupid, some downright dangerous. Here is a place to share bad repairs, bad ideas and bad advice. This could (hopefully) get interesting.

    *facepalm.

    Eww.

    Holy crap, that's dangerous.

If you can get through this video without cringing, you probably are as clueless as old mate in the vid.

I don't know about you guys but I always take the glass off my new tubes, it's more like just a wrapper they put on in the factory, work well with light bulbs too.

This is most definitely how NOT to paint a guitar.

Nice result, despite the terrible technique.

Haha, I winced when I saw the exacto knife, expected blood. But the end is pure idiocy. How to destroy a neck.

    some dodgy tips there Pabs!
Not sure about valve tubes with no glass, you would think the glass is there for a reason.
That locking nut install looks like the truss rod socket almost had a flat edge on it he'd sanded so low, be surprised if the truss rod would turn with the locking nut screwed down and the mounting screws were very close to the truss rod socket channel
