    I'm sure he wishes he could lay claim to it, but there have been odd short-run double cut tele's dating back to the 60's and I have seen pictures of a guy back in the '50s with a double cut (but it was a home alteration)

    Yeah as Fretty mentioned, the DC Tele is definitely nothing new and certainly not my invention. Having said that (and correct me if I'm wrong) I can't say I've seen any other DC Esquires around with the TOM setup with the angled back cut on body. Probably is something out there but I'm not aware of it.

    I saw this carve done the other day and felt compelled to give it a go. I'm just waiting on a black bushing/screw set which should finish the whole neck joint off nicely.

    nice touch Barge, so no neck plate hey. The bushings will look choice dawg and less timber covered up. Should also be nicer to play up the high frets

    No neck plate. Yeah that's the theory behind it, to give a little more access (not that it's much use to me)

    I like bushings better than a neck plate, might think about them for my LP.
    So you're saying you don't play past 20th fret much bruh ?
