For me, the most impatient person on Earth ink's just perfect. I give it a little blast with the hairdryer and it's good to go in around 10 minutes. I just applied using cotton balls and found it really easy to work with and it seems to have a lot more translucence than stain so you can keep the vibrancy of the colour whilst letting the grain show through. It's real forgiving too, I had a couple of white over-sprays that made it onto the top which I knocked off with a bit off steel wool, but it took colour with it too. I just dabbed ink into the needed areas and worked in with a dry cotton ball and the patch ups blended seamlessly.
The only thing I would say is that it has a tendency to rub off on your fingers, even when dry so if you're not paying attention you could easily transfer ink to somewhere it's not supposed to be. I shot a layer of clear over top once I was happy with the burst just to seal it and eliminate that problem.
Nige, looks bloody great. Well done . What's next on the agenda bro.Nice colour too
