    Easy way to get around the pup slots is to build a bigger scratch plate that covers the whole area, like the pic below, you'll note teh front ring isn't screwed down except by the adjustment screws

    Hmm, I've got a Maton L202 sitting unloved in its case I wonder what it might be worth today.

    BTW I have had it since almost new and never really bonded with it so modded it mercilessly and it's still carp

    I can understand why you didn't bond with the Maton. every time you sit down to play one of these it slides off your lap. it's a real PITA

    Bet you thought this was the last of this.

    My Oldest son Chris came over yesterday. He's home for a week, as he works FIFO at Curtis Island.
    He had a play on this and I have to say the Tone is just magic. I was mesmerised.
    I asked him how it was to play and he said he found it a bit difficult as he tends to rest his hand on the bridge, but on this guitar he found it was uncomfortable. But given the sweat tones I think that it is worth a little bit of pain.
    I'll see if I can record a bit. preferably him playing as he has so much more skill than I do.
