Easy way to get around the pup slots is to build a bigger scratch plate that covers the whole area, like the pic below, you'll note teh front ring isn't screwed down except by the adjustment screws

Bet you thought this was the last of this.
My Oldest son Chris came over yesterday. He's home for a week, as he works FIFO at Curtis Island.
He had a play on this and I have to say the Tone is just magic. I was mesmerised.
I asked him how it was to play and he said he found it a bit difficult as he tends to rest his hand on the bridge, but on this guitar he found it was uncomfortable. But given the sweat tones I think that it is worth a little bit of pain.
I'll see if I can record a bit. preferably him playing as he has so much more skill than I do.
