Thanks fender3x. I hope that the floating bridge is positioned well for intonation. It was a bit of guesswork. I may need to assemble it and check that it can be intonated before I paint the body.

The Mustang tremolo looks really solid. It will be interesting to see how it works when push comes to shove!

Funny that this thread has made you relook at the Coronado trem' with different eyes. I had a google look at them - they do look nice! Hopefully you can adjust it to make it useable.
    PitBull Builds: FVB-4, LP-1SS, FBM-1, AG-2, TB-4, SSCM-1, TLA-1,TL-1TB, STA-1HT, DSCM-1 Truckster, ST-1, STA-1, MBM-1, MBM custom, GHR-1 (Resonator), FH-5V (Acoustic), DMS-1 (Mustang).

Scratch Builds: Pine Explorer, Axe Bass, Mr Scary, Scratchy Tele's.

The little voices in my head keep telling me "build more guitars"

I hope it works, and I think it should. Kind of a cool take on the TOM bridge. Lot's on the interwebs about setting up these trems as well.

We'll see. I am not sure that the "leaf spring" approach is actually as adjustable or effective as the coil spring approach. But having found the adjustment, I'll have to give it a try. If it works it would have the advantage that it is simpler than most Fender trems--just one screw. Jimmy Vaughn has one of these guitars, and I have seen him use the trem so... Got to get a few things off the deck before, but will post a pic or two when I get to it.
