    Finished, plays really well, neck is a bit chunky, good sound, intonation pretty close so for a $150 kit a reasonable result

    Looks great! +1 about the pinstripe-cutaway match. Nice touch!

    I didn't realize until recently that chunky necks were common on early Fenders and Gibsons. Some people (my daughter is one of them) really like a chunky neck. If you don't, it is possible to re-profile the neck to something thinner. I had a go at it on a PB neck that felt a bit thick to me. Weirdbits did it after modeling a neck he liked. I cheated and purchased some guitar neck profile templates from a guy in California named Dan Noceti on Etsy.
