The grounding of the strings and bridge/tailpiece did take a while!
I did it methodically, one piece at a time,
the bushing insert was grounded well (I had sanded the section that was going to touch the ground wire), and was grounded from the thread of the insert,
the tailpiece screw/post needed to have the thread sanded, and the section that touches the tailpiece sanded,
the tailpiece needed sanding where it touches the screw, and where the string balls touch the tailpiece!
I don't think I have had that much trouble before!
I also had some issues with the string height at the bridge as two strings (G and E) were way too high compared to the others (see picture - you can see the light getting under the B, D and A strings). The saddles needed quite a lot of filing to set them right.
It is now setup well, and plays well.![]()
