    Another Work Build

    This year's work build. A Basswood tele.

    The body has been stained with Feast Watson mahogany stain, given 5 coats of brushed Cabot's water-based gloss polyurethane. The burst is sprayed on Cabot's water-based stain and varnish in black. Finished with 5 coats of sprayed Cabot's gloss poly.

    This is a really beautiful Tele. A double humbucker is a great addition to the collection! Nice work! I really love the sound that Samantha Fish or Billy Gibbons get out of their Teles. When I looked closely I saw that at least part of the secret is humbuckers ;-)

    This year's work build. A TL-1. Finished with Ubeaut yellow dye (first picture), 2 brushed on coats of Tru-oil, then sprayed on coats of Cabots water-based poly. The black edge around the head stock is rattle can MTN94 paint. The logo and "pinstripes" and vinyl stickers.

    They are at work as demonstration examples. Different kit models, headstock shapes, stain colours etc. The collection creates a lot of interest and advertising for the club! Not sure what will happen when I leave!

    This build is now finished:
    Finish: Stained with Ubeaut yellow dye. Body and neck has 2 brushed on Tru-oil coats, then
    finished with brushed, wiped and sprayed on Cabot’s water-based Polyurethane.

    PGB Black Pearloid pickguard. Logo and Pinstripes are vinyl stickers (buried under the poly).

    I'd join that club. The pinstriping is really cool. You're clearly WA's answer to Billy Gibson ;-)

    Me too! May be a dying art. Been a while since I have seen a pinstripe painted on a car. Meanwhile, your custom cut vinyl approach produces nice results ;-)
