😟 All the best for the next chapter in your life Adam. You've been great on helping me out over the last couple of years.

It's sad to see Pitbull close but I hope the new owners take the brand to a better place. Thank you Adam for your work. I had an eye on Pitbull since 2016 but only last year I built my first kit, a custom 7-string explorer. Since then, I've learned so much about guitars and I want to continue in this path. Again, thank you Adam. Also, thanks to Simon (I know he's not related to Pitbull), who is very active in this forum and always have very knowledgeable advice for those of us just starting to build kits.

Thank you Adam. You have been a pleasure to do work with. I learnt so much doing my tele build (geez that was an unusual birthday present I gave myself) The guitar is first rate despite my best efforts!!. Enjoy whatever comes next

Wish you the best Adam! Thanks for all your help shipping the kits to Istanbul - where it's never easy to find them...

I have a violin bass, a 335, a TB and a Mosrite from Adam, and he's been a great source shipping the kits all around the world where it's not easy to find anything other then the ubiquitous ST and TL kits. It would be a significant loss if Pitbull stops running the way Adam was running it (I guess I'll be ok now that got 10+ kits and no room to move around at home).

Me and my brother LUV these kits, we know they arent perfect but we dont care half the fun in life is solving problems its how you learn,
for the money they are bloody great and the process is unreal i wish id done this for a living haha.
Im no expert but ive been playing guitar & bass for quite a long time ive had a lot of diff equipment some really vintage some new and all inbetween ive learnt that brands can mean nothing,
if it sounds good and plays well thats all you need,
    whatever brand.
With these kits they become your own brand in my case.
This lovely looking sweet sounding guitar here below is a "James Bodycomb" Les Paul, now where are you going to ever get one of these beauties oh i politely wonder-haha?

I started looking at the TL kits when Adam made his announcement. A good reminder not to look too long. Most of the kits are now gone. I did just pull the trigger on a TL flame maple neck with a bone nut. Not sure what I'll do with it, yet, but I couldn't pass up the deal...and literally could not wait much longer.

I can't help but think that for folks in Australia the prices are pretty good, particularly with free shipping. For those of us overseas the exchange rate has even made the normally very high shipping considerably more affordable. The neck+shipping was half what the last neck+shipping cost. That prior neck was not flame maple, but it was beautifully shaped and feels as good to my hand as any bass neck I've played. Ojalá* that the neck I just ordered is as good. I guess I am not done...just did a quick search for a body...

As much as I love getting a good closeout deal, it saddens me that PB will be leaving the market. I don't know of any other online (or offline, for that mater) site that has as diverse an array of kits. The Fretwire here in the US, was similar but not quite as good (IMHO). It also went away, and it's domain name is now for sale. Of course, no shop I am aware of has as good a community following as Pitbull. Hoping we'll be able to keep the forum alive. Maybe even make some suggestions for other places to supply kit builds, scratch builds and all things in between.

Will have a beer later to toast the experiences I've had here, and another one to toast whatever comes next! Hope we'll be able to remain fellow travelers!

    Cheers!
    Rich

Ive been hoping to accrue some more knowledge from you and Simon but now it seems like PB may drop off the edge and be gone lucky we got the kits we did.
Il let my bro know in case.
