Your right, it was the bridge, sorry for the lack of pictures or I should say NO pictures, ive tried to upload but still having issues. I knew measuring from the sides of the neck was not the way to go considering the neck tapers on both sides, thats where the problem laid. I was better off to square off on the bridge pickup pocket, using an set square and my 1meter straight edge and squaring off at the base of the neck to find the center. The strings and the neck are now good. Just needed to use a bit more of the grey matter. I must say the instructions on this sight are very vague.

That is why God invented Youtube ;-) Lots on this there. Without that and the forum a great many of us would be pretty lost. Me for sure.

To post pictures onto the forum the longest side needs to be less than 1000 pixels in size.

1500 pixels max for .jpg and .png, and just less than 1 MB in file size (976.6kB).

So any dimension has to be less than 1501 pixels. A portrait-oriented photo of 1500 wide by 1804 tall is still too big as the 1804 side needs to be 1500 or less.

A photo with a lot of changing detail and colours may end up a bit more than 976.6kB if you use the highest quality compression, so if the file size is just too big, then use a lower quality compression setting. But it needs to be very complex indeed to require that.

Use the ‘insert photo’ icon on the editing window toolbar then pick the ‘select file’ option from the ‘upload files’ tab. I find it easiest to upload one at a time. Once you’ve selected the file to upload, select ‘done’, and then select the ‘upload file(s)’ text beneath the line that should now contain a reference to the selected file.

I know the last bit isn’t obvious, but that’s down to the stock forum software used.

It normally takes a few seconds for the file to be uploaded and a reference to the forum file name for it to be displayed. If nothing happens at all, then the photo is still either too many pixels or too big in file size (yes, it should tell you, but it doesn’t).

There’s a maximum of four photos per single forum post, so to upload more than four, then upload four, post the reply and then start a new post.

To see the photos (sometimes the orientation is wrong), click the ‘go advanced’ button at the foit if the text entry window. The ‘manage attachments’ option on here lets you load four pictures at once, but I find it prone to going wrong and not displaying the photos correctly, especially if you’ve already uploaded a photo.

To display more than four photos on a single post, you need to host the photos elsewhere e.g. on a Flikr account, and link to the file using the ‘upload from URL’ tab option. You need to ensure that you reference the photo file, and not the URL of the web page the photo is displayed on, so it needs to end in .jpg or .png or it won’t work. And if the default ‘upload to forum’ option remains ticked, you still need to conform with the forum size rules.

When direct linking, it still helps to have resized the photo to a maximum width of say 800 pixels, so that it fits within the forum borders, otherwise it breaks the standard display format for that post.

A lot of photo sites give forum link options you can cut and paste into your post, and some offer resizing options as well, so you can upload the full file and just display a smaller version. It should have the [ img ] and [ /img] tags around the link to work.

The images are JPG but they are 3.2 Mb, im not very skilled when it comes to computer settings, the photo's ive taken are from my Galaxy Samsung cell phone and saved to my PC I have no idea how to change to size format, will play around and see what I can do.
