Just MHO, but while you have it stripped, and going to replace the binding, I'd suggest tapering the transition of the body to the heel and scalloping the lower horn on the front. I find that factory transition to feel quite clunky.

    2 cents...

    edit:
I'm referring to the PRS-style one.
And nice work on the TL too. Nice subtle burst.

got a bit done over the weekend got the tele all done just waiting a couple of days to dry and then polish, got the prs all the bodywork done ready to redrill holes to put on a tunematic instead of the wrap over bridge, got the SG body and neck done and redrilling the bridge holes reasonably happy with the tele concidering it was a terrible piece of wood

here's the tele its nice and flat with good shine off the gun I did 4 double header coats then sanded 3 times

ive done a mix of yellow dye on the nect to look a bit aged

this will be candy apple red I have spent hours on these 2 getting them flat have put new pearling on the prs

the SG I'm thinking black but that's not a given could end up any colour

A couple of updates been fighting the weather as been raining cats and dogs for the last week which has been giving me grief, the air is way too moist I've picked up a cheap guitar from cashies it's a Blueline never heard of them but figured its something to give it some loving, it has a resin body with a maple cap figured I would see what it's like compared to a all wood, the SG I've put 3 coats of candy apple red I've got a new supplier for pearls, flake, and candy concentrate they are in the UK took 3 weeks to arrive $18 postage and the candy is really nice and coverage is also good haven't been happy with the Australian one as colour isn't that great I'm going to order some gold, tangerine, cherry red, green, and a deep blue, the telecaster ive put a 2k HS clear over the stain but only got it sanded ready for the final which im hopeing to shoot that tomorrow, the PRS i'm still sorting the new bridge out haven't made much progress

ok the SG is more of a trial I've put a silver base with 3 coats of candy apple red not bad for just 3 coats havent cleared it yet

Here is the Blueline it had a flat top with off-white purfling which I have removed and routered over the edge which I like better I've used a binder over the wood primed ready for a colour

@McCreed can't do the horn on the PRS it's hollow body as there is nothing there so I can't do that mod on it which is a bummer

Those all look great phrozin! Especially the TL. The black neck pickup cover is a subtle but nice touch.

Ahh... I some how missed that it's a hollow body!

a couple of updates I've redone the candy red strat like I've routed out the top and bottom pup to suit p90's, and I picked up another strat but with 24 frets never seen 1 before so when I seen the neck i'd try get it sounds pretty good as well wasn't going to get any more until I finish the 2 strats I'm hoping show up tomorrow so ill have 7 to do

here's the rerouted body really looking forward to playing this one its pretty much finished just polish to do in a few days

here's the new Strat I've sanded it back to bare wood used a Rit racing red dye with a red mahogany burst can't see how it will look until it's cleared the body I'm not sure what wood, as it's very hard, was a nightmare to sand 2 piece body nothing too tricky with this

on a different note I was surfing ebay a week and a half ago and come across these spray guns which were pretty cheap $35 has 2 pots and different needles and caps I purchased 2 of them to try out, so you guys who have been thinking of going to the next level instead of rattle cans they have a great fan and a reasonable finish off the gun, I have used them on the top body so getting into spraying without the high cost will run great on a compressor with just a 120 fad, its a cheap beginner set up the advantages of a gun are many

Phrozin is far more experienced than I, but my first gun is identical to the one he posted (except mine has blue couplers).
I have had no problems with it (apart from "operator error" ) and will concur that it's a great starter option.

I got mine roughly 5 years ago and it only came with 1 x 600ml cup and was $39... so the one above is definitely a bargain!
