It does play really well. I’m finding the 42mm neck width at the nut to be slightly on the narrow side for my fingers. I’m more used to a 43mm spacing with the strings just that bit further apart. Amazing what a difference 1mm makes, though the string spacing itself is 34mm, so 34 to 35mm is a large percentage increase. I may end up cutting down a 43mm nut and fitting that in the future. There’s certainly space at the top of the fretboard for the strings to sit slightly further apart.

I’ve ordered some 50mm thick foam to fit in the main section of the case, which I’ll cover in black fabric and then glue in position. I’ve tried putting a small 40mm high cardboard box in there and it raised the body up so that the guitar sat flat in the case, rather than with the neck angling up. Both neck rests were then supporting the neck and the case still closed without any problems. I’m hoping the foam is squashy enough to compress down to 40mm with a guitar on it, otherwise I’m going to probably have to try and take 10mm off the height. I did look for 40mm high foam, but it’s not a standard size.
