Though with single coil pickups and noise reduction, shielded wire will do almost nothing compared to shielding the pickup cavities.
I still haven't found any pictures of the insides of an Artist ST62 so have no idea how much of the wiring is the braided stuff. It's not the easiest wire to use for short distances and cloth single core is a lot easier for wiring between switches and pots, with a greatly reduced risk of creating shorts.
