IIRC, you got a TL kit. If that's right, the kit bridge will be a dual-load (top and through) but no ferrules included.
The kit bridge is intended to be installed as a top-loader as this is significantly less challenging for a first-timer/novice to accomplish.

Installing it as string-through is an option as the holes are there, but you need to buy string ferrules separately.
