Looks good to me. It's the overspray that makes the burst. I really dislike 'bursts' with a 'blend zone' that's only a couple of mm wide. Some clear over the top will also help blend it all in.

Those photos are with the clear coat done. Hopefully it polishes up nicely. I plan to spray the neck next weekend. Just need to decide whether I'm spraying the clear on the whole neck including fretboard or whether I'm leaving the fretboard unsealed and just put some of the Dingotone wax on it.Originally Posted by Simon Barden
