    Simon's drawing will do nicely for on/on too. Strictly you only need to wire one half, but both is fine too. Just ignore the bits of the diagram showing other switch combinations.
    An interesting variation would be to have separate volume controls for each pickup.
    Build #1, failed solid body 6 string using neck from a scrapped acoustic (45+ odd years ago as a teenager!)

    A 2-position switch won't do the same job as a 3-position switch! The diagram works, but you don't get the 'both pickups in parallel' position.
