Very nice sparkle, mate. I was thinking of doing a sparkly purple bass for my next build, so I'm interested to see how this turns out when it's fully finished!
Did you just sprinkle the flake on by hand, or did you use something to get a more even spread of it?

Yeah I just laid down a coat of clear and once it was a bit tacky I sprinkled the flake on. Then just went over it with more clear.....a lot more clear. In hindsight I'd use .015 or.008 sized flake as this was .025 which looks great but you have to use an extremely thick coat of clear to get it even. I'm still going to need to do a few more coats of clear to get the neck level and it's already had an entire can dumped on it.Originally Posted by Asphaltwings
