And what gauge wire? And magnet type? Alnico V?

Magnet: Alnico 5
Wire: 42 AWG Plain enamel (From Brocott in the UK)
Wound counter-clockwise
Its reading at 8.65k Ohms Resistance and 4.91 Inductance.

Wiring complete...nice and simple. First time I've used solder lugs. I'll be using this more often!!!

The hot leg of the capacitor looks dangerously near shorting out on the back of the tone pot. I'd have stuck some heat shrink on it or else soldered it to the pot lug much nearer the lug.
