Note to self:
MUST shorten neck screws after reducing the neck pocket. Before I forget.
Or at least check their length.
Wasn't going to stay up, but.... I did..
Neck and tuners fitted so i can now move onto bridge placement

Bridge placement sorted, no need to adjust any routs thankfully. Tusq nut located and slight overhang sanded down accordingly, will probably need a height shim - need to find my feeler gauges. Some strings from the nut to the machine heads are at a slight angle, but I think I can live with that vs doweling and re-drilling as I really want a natural look vs having to veneer - we will see. Might make more of a judgement when the headstock shape is cut and finalised.
Overall it feels super nice to play, super low action and the neck feels lovely in the hand. I'm super excited to get the finish underway!![]()
Looking good mate. Can't wait to see it finished

Deep in the sanding process, just a few scratches to get out of the end grain at the cutaways now and tidy up a few bits here and there. The more and more I got into the sanding process made me think I never really paid attention to the fact that there is a clear lighter section running through the middle of the top of the guitar. It's darker above and below. Funny though, that the back is totally even. One of those natural phenomena I guess.![]()
