    Mate I am not a trades person.....but have been doing lots of research reading and you tube watching on veneers.

    Wetting....or steaming your veneer prior to bending is essential to avoid tearing in the wood fibres. E.g. damping you veneer down.....pressing into shape against the headstock....use a round dowel and clamp to hold the shape.....allow to dry in situ.

    Remove clamps.....apply glue and attach...clamp again....then trim to size and shape.

    I don’t mean anything...just trying help.

    Thats actually really useful info Ozz, I've got to do this to Experiment #5 to cover the dud tuner holes i put in it.
