The first step is to admit you have a problem...

This guitar did actually get finished back in 2016, albeit some time long after the last post. The journey to completion was an arduous one involving a complete refinish, many curse words and by the time I was done...

I decided I was more of a keyboard player.

But over the last few months, I have been coming back around to the ways of fret and string. Two years of GAS free living then I somehow walk out of a local music shop with a Squier Affinity Jazzmaster that is perfectly fine, but for some reason I feel a need to replace the tuners... and just about everything else.

Next thing you know I'm pulling my guitar tools out of storage and having another go at setting up this JM-1 which I never got to intonate properly.

And now I think I can finally say I'm happy with this guitar. I played it for about 6 hours after I finished the set up. Couldn't put it down.

    There's even a sound clip.

As long as I have the tools out... I do have a telecaster kit still sitting around.

This is the forum for people who think they already have too many guitars and need help to cut back right?

I think that might be the next door along, but this one doesn't seem to have an exit...
