More bits arrived today, from Ace guitar parts: Lining up OK,except for the string through holes. Strings do go through, though:

It covers them fine, Mark, I just drilled them badly Luckily the bridge plate covers my sloppy work You must mean the modern type bridge. My Wilkinson, Fender MIJ and Squier '62 Custom's ashtray type bridges are exactly the same dimensions.
